Sync troubleshooting

When a new device starts the first synchronization, it’s possible that Ikes will need some time to finish it. Read more

Requirements

All requirements shown bellow have to be met for iCloud sync.

  1. Active Apple ID
  2. Loggin in to iCloud with your Apple ID
  3. Enable iCloud Drive
  4. Use same Apple ID for all devices

All setting you have to check

  1. Make sure you are logged into your Apple account.
    2. Confirm wether or not you have logged in to your Mac with your Apple ID. If the message “Sign in to your iPhone” is shown, click it to proceed.

  2. Confirm both the “iCloud Drive” toggle button and the “ikes” toggle button are ON (Green color).
    3. Click "Apple ID".

Large amount of ideas

If you have hundreds or thousands of ideas, when a new device starts the first synchronization, it’s possible that ikes will need some time to finish it. Please leave Ikes open (NOT in the background) while it is finishing syncing. You can check the synchronization status as described in the previous section.

If you have 5,000 ideas, for example, typically syncing takes 30 - 60 minutes to finish it. If you logged into your iCloud account, please be patient to leave the app open until all ideas are downloaded successfully.

Once it is finished, ikes will sync faster and more often on an idea-by-idea basis.

The time needed for this initial sync to finish will vary depending on your internet connection.
