What is Widget?
Ikes has a Widget that allows you to place ideas and shortcut buttons on your home screen. In the free version of Ikes, a randomly selected idea from all the ideas will be displayed in the Widget, changing at regular intervals.
What is Widget filters?
Ikes PREMIUM users can filter the ideas displayed in the Widget by Sparkle color, tag, and source.
For example, let's say you are collecting motivational quotes with the tag "motivational quotes". You can then display only those items with that tag in the Widget. You can also specify a source to show only items from books you like, or only show items with a red Sparkle.
If you select "Widget filters" in the Settings section of the Manual tab, you can create five types of filters.
How to set a filter?
To edit a Widget filter, tap “Edit” of each Filter.
In the setting view, you can search and set tag/source as filter criteria. If none of them is selected, all items will be shown in Widget.
You can set a Sparkle color as filter criteria too. Tap “All” to change the color. By repeatedly tapping on this area, you can switch colors. Selecting "All" will display the items regardless of their Sparkle color.
Examples
In the case of the image below, ideas tagged with "motivational quote" and with the Sparkle color set to red are shown in Widget.
In the case of the image below, no tag/source is selected. In this case, all ideas with the Sparkle color set to yellow are shown in Widget.
Select a filter in Widgets
First, on you home screen, tap and hold Ikes Widget you added. Then select “Edit Widget” in the context menu shown.
When the widget flips, tap "Choose".
Tap the filter you created.
Finally, tap on the empty area outside the Widget to close the settings screen. And then filtered items are shown in the Widget.
